Tuning Your Piano

Before your piano can be fine tuned, it must already be close to being in tune. If it has been an unstable environment or has not been tuned for over a year (or in some cases over ten years!), we will perform one or more pitch raises on the piano to bring it close to being in tune with today's standard of A=440 Hertz (cycles per second).

After we've gotten your piano close to being in tune, we will fine tune it using a combination of a state-of-the-art electronic tuning device (a Sanderson Accu-Tuner) and our ears to give you a tuning which is best suited for your piano and its surroundings.

Each time we come to care for your piano it will be given a pre-tuning inspection and servicing and before we leave we will give you our recommendations for any additional work we feel should be done.

Our fee for a basic tuning is $100.
A pitch raise, if required, is an additional $50
